Bah, just a week on and now it's not boring, it's far too exciting. Popped around my...friend's house on Wednesday when poker was cancelled, and a couple of glasses of wine and a movie turned into an evening of 3 bottle of wine, ignoring the movie and a very long chat, with a nice snuggle on the sofa.
Nothing quite happened, but there were some very mixed signals, from her snuggling up, through to a slight backing off when she asked if I thought of her as a Sister, which I denied, saying she was far far too hot for that.
To be fair, at that point I was pretty wasted, as was she, so who knows what the hell was going on.
I guess I might find out where I stand a bit better this week at her house warming. Granted hubby will be there, but that might help bring things to a head. He's military, and hasn't been a permanent resident with as a result for 6 years, and I don't think she's entirely sure she's happy about him being a fixture at home for his next posting which starts next month. Fun fun fun.

Wet Weekends.....so very very dull
I set up this blog aaaages ago, to document my loneliness for...well for the hell of it really. But I distracted myself with a social life for quite a while. But now the time has done.
So, here we are, a horrifyingly boring and soggy weekend. All my normal distractions are not around, my walking partner is off to Italy to try to kill herself on the side of a mountain with her new boyfriend, my best mate who lives around the corner is too knackered to head to the pub for a swift pint, most of the rest of my friends are off at a BBQ (yep, still raining :-) ), and the current subject of my affection isn't really an option as her husband will be home for the weekend.
And before you ask, no, I'm not that guy. She is an absolute darling, and I enjoy every moment I'm hanging out with her, but she is married.
Well, that leaves me with bugger all to do but catch up on some tv and plan a couple of posh meals for the week.
And it's still only Saturday night! At least I've got stuff for the week, every night booked up with distractions from the crushing loneliness, from the tragically sad online gaming on Monday, rather boozy Champagne tasting on Tuesday, poker on Wednesday, badminton Thursday, and pub Friday, before a Stag do on the Saturday. Busy busy busy...but all solo. C'est la Vie.
